Windell Brown injured in crash

Windell Brown, a starting tailback on California University's football team, was severely in an automobile accident Saturday. The 25-year-old Brown reportedly suffered a neck injury.

Three other individuals were injured in the accident.

Brown was orginally a Pitt recruit but ended up at Lackawana College before coming to California. He has rushed for 1,784 yards and scored 22 touchdowns for the Vulcans, who have advanced to the NCAA Division II semifinals for the past three seasons.
