Endres to start for UConn
Former Trinity High School quarterback Cody Endres, pictured, will get his first start of the season for the University of Connecticut on Saturday when the Huskies play a nonconference game at Baylor.
Endres replaces Zach Frazer, who injured his left knee Saturday in UConn's 12-10 loss to nationally ranked North Carolina.
Endres, who has been battling a stomach virus this week, completed 39 of 84 passes for 411 yards as a freshman. Against North Carolina, Endres entered the game in the third quarter and directed the Huskies' lone touchdown drive.
The UConn-Baylor game will not be televised.
